About the Client
Vulkan Magazine is a globally distinguished media outlet that identifies and promotes the talent propelling modern taste from an artistic and industry driven perspective.
Producing celebrity features, fashion editorials, artworks and cultural content, alongside submissions, Vulkan connects tens of millions of followers each month.
Objective
To produce the editorial story INTO THE DUST with photographer Cathrine Wessel on a remote location in California.
Idea
To explore the intersections of grit, power, fashion, and dynamic energy in a fresh way by producing high-quality images and videos. Motion, energy, color and form were used with intention to create a cohesive yet bold mood.
Result
A collection of striking photographs and video content that express edge, dynamic movement, power and beauty, while showcasing the unique energies of the model, the landscape, and the dirt bikes. The goal of the content was to communicate speed and intensity with a fresh sense of design and fashion. The images and videos have been used in one of the top magazines and in the portfolios of world-class photographers.
It was important to use the rough and muddy landscape as an opportunity to showcase the movement, contrast, and action that was at the heart of this collection.
